Norwich City with Lotus F1 Boss

Norwich City is in the search of someone which can do some financial help for their club and also who can run the football club. It is very common occurrence for the football club to go down with times and up again with times. Now Norwich City is not in good financial position and badly need some financer to run the club.

The Lotus F1 boss, Tony Fernandes of Malaysia is now in the mood to support the Norwich City. In a formal occasion, Fernandes admits his interest in the Norwich City and he wants to support the football club and tie up their partnership.

Let’s see what the CEO of Air Aisa and Lotus Racing Team, Tony Fernandes, said:

“Why not, never say no, I’ve never been to Carrow Road, maybe Delia will invite me one day. If people want me to get involved and it makes sense then why not, at the very minimum Lotus and Norwich should be closely aligned. We should help each other wherever we can, and I hope when we have time we can bring the car to Carrow Road, we’ll be rooting for Norwich going forward. I watched them the other day, I think playing Hartlepool, I’ve received many emails, the colour’s green and yellow and maybe Norfolk will become my home for the rest of my life, who know.”

New Stadium for Everton

The talk still continues and goes positive. Everton has been trying to build a stadium at Liverpool but the council has been opposing their proposal. But recently a joint statement stated the talks were positive and now there is possibility that Everton holds a football stadium with 50-000 seats.

The proposal was rejected by the government in November to make the stadium as a part of the complex in Kirkby. It was in the last year that the secretary of the communities, John Denham, turned down the plan considering the vitality and viability of the local communities.

Now with the new deal goes well, Everton wants to increase the seating capacity of the stadium. They want to solve the problem which is currently facing at Goodison Park stadium due to the less seating capacity of 40,100 and due to this they are financial disadvantage.

Liverpool has already made a deal for a new stadium with seating capacity 60,000 but the construction work is yet to start. There is still confusion in the deal about the sharing between the Liverpool and Everton. I am sharing the proposed stadium plan of Everton.

Messi is going to miss the friendly match with Scotland

Messi is the most spectacular player of Argentina and everyone wants to see the talents of such young footballer in friendly match between Argentina and Scotland. But unfortunately Messi is not going to play the friendly match between Argentina and Scotland on November.

Messi is only one of the most important players of Barcelona and therefore the club is insisting Messi to take a break and as he had been reluctantly released for the Olympics by the club to play for the country.

But the Messi’s fans in Scotland are waiting for their favorite football hero and they are watching the match because of their footballer. Now if Messi disappoints them by missing the match, then it would be a big misunderstanding between the fans and the Messi. Actually it is not in the control of Messi but the Boss and the managing group of Barca.

AFA spokesman says about the deal as:

“After negotiations with Barca, we have come to the conclusion we must take care of Messi. So that means he is excused for the friendly matches against Scotland in November and France in February. It is common sense. However, Messi is the only Argentina player who will be given permission not to play.”

Scottish FA chief executive Gordon Smith says about the decision of the Barca as:

“There cannot be an arrangement in place that Messi is not allowed to play for Argentina. There could be a gentleman’s agreement that we don’t know about. The insistence was that Argentina would bring their best-available squad. Even if Lionel Messi is not here then they will be a very strong unit.”

Sir Geoff Hurst Shirt to Wembley again

There is another story of Football shirt which worth £1m. If you are a football fan, then you must know who Sir Geoff Hurst is. He was the man who scored hat-trick goals in the World Cup of 1966 when England won the Cup.

Andrew Leslau, 51, is a businessman and property investor. He bought the shirt for £1m from a collector. Goeff scored the amazing hat-trick on 30 July 1966 by wearing this shirt. Now the shirt is going to display in the World Cup qualifying match of England in Wembley.

Along with Geoff Hurst’s shirt, he bought some other shirts of famous football players like England’s Roger Hunt, West Germans Wolfgang Weber and Lothar Emmerich.

After acquaring the shirt, Andrew Leslau, who is the new owner of this honorable shirt, as:

“This is the most important shirt in English football history - not just the most valuable and most expensive in the world. We know how much all the other shirts have sold for and the one prior to that was Pele’s from the 1970 World Cup final, which was £157,000. Geoff Hurst’s shirt is worth more than that. I will be proud to bring it back to Wembley. The stadium might have changed but the shirt is the ultimate reminder of the England team’s most glorious day. It should not be hidden away in a bank vault somewhere. We do think it is as valuable as a Damien Hirst but nonetheless we want it seen by football fans in an appropriate and fitting home.”

Can Lampard and Gerrard play again in the mid field together?

Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard are together well known as the mid-fielders of England but in the last two years they have not been playing their role well. It may be because of the lack of good partnership between the two players or may be the two players are not fit for one another. But Lampard insists that it is not about the bad partnership of him and Gerrard and assured that they will try their best to perform the best in the coming World Cup qualifying matches.

England will play the World Cup 2010 qualifying match with Kazakhstan on Saturday 11 and this is more like the test for the combination of the Gerrard and Lampard in the mid field. And if they are not fit to play together in the mid field, then there may be subsequent replacement of the position of one of the player (most probably Gerrard). As the partnership of Lampard and Gareth Barry was fantastic in the match against Croatia and won the match with the big score 4-1.

But about the issue, Lampard does not want to give more importance in the role of each player rather he wants his team to win and wants everyone to concentrate on the winning of the England.

Lampard Says:

“We both want to be at our best for England and will probably say that, for the last couple of years, we haven’t done that. Everyone is trying to find the solution but it’s not just me and Steven Gerrard, it’s the whole team. My view is that it is very important to talk about the team. We look into the wrong issues. It’s not about individuals. If you look to much into things you can create your own problems. What we want is to win the game. There are times with any partnership when it works on the pitch and when it doesn’t. We are breaking it down much too much at the moment. What’s important is getting results and not trying to find issues with certain players. Me and Steven get on very well off the pitch and I think we get on well on the pitch but we want to improve as we haven’t done what we could do in the last couple of years. Steven and hopefully myself have been playing at a high level for our clubs and people expect the same thing playing for England but that’s not necessarily always going to happen. The end result is that you want to see England win.”

Another Contract Sign in Bolton

It is the common story to sign and re-sign a contract in the football club or team. In many cases, players left the old clubs and join new clubs and in many other cases, players extend the contract with the same club. I am going to share a story which is the extension of the contract.

O’Brien has been playing as the defender of Bolton since 2007 and now his contract with the team has almost completed. Now he re-signs with the club and extends his stay in the team up to 2011. Now he is 29 years old even though he is the driving player of the team and now he will continue his contribution in the team.

The most interesting part of the contract is that he is very happy with the extension and wants to continue playing for the team.

O’Brien says:

“The way the supporters, the manager Gary Megson and the players have treated me has made me enjoy my football as much as I ever have done. I’m delighted to stay and there’s plenty of hard work ahead of me now. From my point of view, I’m happy at Bolton so if they were happy to keep me then there was never a problem. I’ll continue to work hard and hopefully we’ll pick up results.”
