Cricket curves its way like Football

I would say football is more exciting game than cricket but many cricket lovers would not agree with me. May be they are right because the new dimension of cricket, that is, Indian Cricket League (ICL or IPL) makes the game more interesting and now they are similar to the football. They have changed the cricket into the way of football which means that football is a more advance game because cricket is following the way of football.

This is not the topic of discussion and I am just sharing my thoughts. Nadeem Malik who performed very well in the first season signed for two more years with grace Road and he will play for the club up to 2010. He has an excellent performance with 42 Championship wickets in the first season.

And also many Bangladesh players are now ready to join ICL because they think that this is the new dimension of the cricket and avoiding this League means they are not in the new dimension of the cricket. But the association of cricket of Bangladesh is completely against the idea of joining ICL because they think that it is business of the game. They do not want to loss the prestige of the players by playing the game for money. Even the team captain Aminul Islam is trying to stop the players from joining ICL.

Worst Lost of Indian cricket against Sri Lanka

I hardly watch the cricket match but today unfortunately I watched one of the worst matches of one day international cricket match between India and Sri Lanka. Neither of the teams was playing good but it was a big win for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka won the toss and choose bat. At the starting, the performance of Sri Lanka was not good and skeeper Sanath Jayasuriya could not show his bating skill in the match. The same thing happened with Kumar Sangakkara and Sri Lankan’s situation was worsened.

But the good partnership of Jehan Mubarak and Thilan Thushara helped Sri Lanka to make 227-6.Thilan Thushara hit 54 runs and added to the score of Sri Lanka.

But the situation of India was even worst than the Sri Lanka and they lost eight wickets for 33 runs in 12 overs. This must be one of the ugliest one day international matches for India. The match was stopped due to rain but resumed again with the reduction of target to 216. But this didn’t help India and finally India lost the match. Ajantha Mendis did a marvellous job and he did his best international performance of 4-40.

Day Three and match Stopped

It was a bad day for kevin Pietersen who is captaining for the first time in Test match. They were about to win the match but the weather condition of England didn’t favor them. If they have won the match, then Pietersen would have known well for the great win in his first test as England Skipper. In the last day, i.e. Day Three, only 17 overs were bowled and the play couldn’t be resumed after the lunch.

The start of the match was half an hour late due to rain. Stuart Broad was doing quite well at the beginning and he removed the middle stump of the Neil Mckenzie. The two main bowlers of England, Steve harmison and James Anderson, have been doing well the in the whole Test and the Captain might have expected more from them.

Hashim Amla was in the form and hit 71 runs with 14 hours which is his ninth Test fifty. The weather condition would have favored England as they were bowling but it was just the opposite in the match. The match finished in a draw due to the bad weather condition and this makes England’s captain disappointed the most. And also the Saturday crowd was frustrated by the rain and the stopped of the match.

India is a country which is totally dedicated to the game of cricket. Each and every individual in India dies for cricket and there are more supporters for cricket than the football. The best win of India over Australia

In the subsequent matches, it feels like cricket is meant for Australia only and we cannot change the rule. But in the 17th cricket test match between Australia and India, India had changed the rule and stop Australia from making another record. Australia had been winning 16 consecutive matches and had already made a good record but if they won the 17th test match also, then they might have created a history in the game of cricket. It was really a good win for India and there was no doubt in the game that Australia still could do better. In most the time, the game of Australia is unpredictable because any player can do a good batting and also any of the blower can bowl well in a particular day. But in that particular day, it was quite certain that India would win the match.

Also it one of the greatest test win in the history of the captain Anil Kumble. This proves the very effectiveness of the captain Anil Kumble. His decision of giving a chance to the part time spinner, Virendra Shewag was really a wise move. Shewag bowled well in the whole match and could stop two batsmen for Australia. He took two wickets in the first eight balls. And also the man of the match, Irfan Pathan also did a good job in the match and it marks the best return of the player in the test series. But it is quite funny to know that Australia won 16 test matches consecutively and just wondering how can they maintain their form. Well, it is the time to celebrate for India because they could stop Australia at last.
