UEFA Champions League Started and the results of the matches

Champions League is one of the most important football tournaments and many well known teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Barcelona and many other famous teams play in the tournaments. Now it is the season of excited football matches and fans all over the world are singing the anthems of their favorite football club or football team.

UEFA Champions League has started and there were matches between the teams in each group in the first day of the League. I am just sharing the results of the first day Champions League matches. In the group A, Chelsea won the match against Bordeaux with the great score of 4-0. It is a big win of Chelsea and they have a good start. Joe Cole, Lampard, Malouda and Anelka are the scorers of the four goals.

In another match of Group A, Roma lost in the hand of CFR Cluj-Napoca in 1-2. Such a reputed club like Roma lost in the first match of the League and they are going to face a bad time ahead with many strong teams.

In Group B, Inter Milan won the match against Panathinaikos and the other match ended with draw between Werder bremen and Anorthosis Famagusta. In the Group C, Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk won the matches against Sporting and Basle with the score 3-1 and 2-1 respectively. Liverpool and Atletico Madrid won the matches with the score 2-1 and 3-0 against Marseille and PSV respectively.

The fate of John Terry

John Terry was sent off the field at the 77th minute of the match. It was a great victory of Chelsea over Manchester City 3-1 but the decision of referee was quite doubtful and the Chelsea Manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is thinking to talk to higher authority and players about the red card of John Terry.

The Chelsea Boss Luiz Felipe Scolari says he needs to watch the game again in TV before he speaks out. But he is not happy with the decision of referee. Scolarai said that he didn’t see the incident but ready to speak to the club hierarchy and players before taking any move.

The striker Jo was trying to sent through on goal and Terry was pulling him down. But Ricardo Carvalho was behind his defensive partner. But the fate of John Terry depends on whether the red card will be upheld or not. If the red card is upheld, then he is going to miss many important matches in the near future.

He will not be able to present in the Sunday’s key Premier League game against Manchester United. Further, he will miss Chelsea’s visit to Portsmouth for the Carling Cup. Even the manager of Man City thought that the decision was incorrect and the referee was little bit erratic.

Manchester City Vs Chelsea - Really excited?

Robinho is going to play against Chelsea in the match between Manchester City and Chelsea. One of the advantages of Manchester City is that Michael Ballack is not going to play in the match because of the injury in the foot.

Still many players are back to the team after injury like John Mikel Obi but Joe Cole is in trail for fitness. Pablo Zabaleta and Micah Richards of Man City may be available for the match.

Kobe Bryant - Performing a repair surgery

Injury is very common in vigorous game like NBA, football and even in cricket also. Kobe Bryant who is the popular US player of NBA has met a small injury in the ligament of right pinkie finger.

Now he will undergo surgery to repair the damage ligament of the finger and it is shocking news for the fans of this basketball player. Bryant revealed the news in his official website and also he mentioned the date on which he is going to undergo the surgery.

For more information about the news, you can check his official website also. Feb. 5 was the unfortunate day when Bryant suffered from the injury in a game against New Jersey Nets. One of the ligaments of the right pinkie is torn and the surgery is performed to repair the torn ligament.

Bryant has a very good record and now he is 30 even though he is playing with the full energy and spirit. It is expected that the recovery time may be around six weeks and he will appear in the game on Oct. 28 at home against Portland. Now pray to God for Bryant.

Now the name of the team has been changed to Oklahoma City NBA from Seattle SuperSonics. It is well said that they put the name THUNDER because it is just like an indication that a terrible storm is going to arrive in the game when their team arrives so that people will realize that Oklahoma NBA team is coming even from the miles away.

It has been already announced that the name “THUNDER” has been chosen by the committee in the local ABC affiliate. And the anticipation of the public came to be right and the Chairman Clay Bennett mentioned that it was a tough job to hide the secret from the public.

There was a pleasant official meeting and also the announcement session of the name of the team. And also all the fans of the NBA team are happy with the rocking name of the team but let’s see how much the team can keep the promise of the name of the team. The name of the team itself seems like there are lots of promises and accomplishment along with the name.
