English League One - Wycombe Wenderers and Gillingham - Who scored the goals - Match Result Chart

The match was almost one sided match and there was not that much fun in watching the match. In the first half itself, the home team, Wycombe Wenderers was dominating with three beautiful attacks which made the goal keeper of the opposite to dive to defend the attacks. After that Mattew Philips made the first goal of the team with his beautiful curling shot.

In the second half, Gillingham made some effort to equalize the score but all in vain. Alan Bennett and Kevin Betsy of Wycombe Wenderers scored one goal each and confirmed the winning of the team with such a big difference in the score.

Meanwhile, the manager of Gillingham is worried about his post and he realized that the people are not happy with his team. Mark Stimson shared that he is contracted for the next season also and it is the time for the chairman of the club to take right decision to take the team forward in the coming season. There is what Mark Stimson said about the club and his contract:

“I’m contracted for next season but that decision is up to the chairman. He’ll be honest with me.
You can see the supporters shouting my name - out - and they were not too happy but that is a discussion me and the chairman will have and I am sure he will make the right decision to take the club forward.
It’s a massive body blow.”
