Manchester United and Bolton
Today’s match between Manchester United and Bolton will be a big match for Premier League. United is without Rooney due to his calf injury and it is the first appearance for Goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar for the season. Dimitar Berbatov could miss the match because of the birth of his first child.
For Bolton, Sam Ricketts is doubtful with an ankle problem. It can be recalled that Sir Alex has a history with Bolton and referee Mark Clattenburg. He was banned for two matches and charged with fine for using bad words against Bolton during the defeat of 1-0 in 2007.
About the calf injury of Wayne Rooney, Sir Alex said:
“Calf injuries can be troublesome. We are trying our best to get him fit for Wednesday but I have my doubts on that. But Wayne should be fit for the Liverpool game. We know how difficult these things can be so we will not be taking any chances with the Moscow trip.”
