In an unfortunate incident of football match, another shameful incident had occured in the football ground at Cadle Mill. It was a under-14s football match between Cwm Albion and Ynystawe and the incident happened when four players of Cwm Albion had been sent off the field. Two players were sent off during the match and another two players after the final whistle. A father of one of the four players went directly to the referee Mr. Stewart and punched him in the face which made Mr. Stewart to take 10 stitches in the face with huge swelling.

Ms Gedrych said:

“The behaviour of the defendant on that day made him seriously consider giving up. It was only the outpouring of goodwill from the football community that made him determined to carry on.”

Mr Thomas said:

“He was giving up his own time so youngsters like your son could play organised football Without people like him games of rugby and football could not take place.”

The thing is Mr. Stewart is a very experience referee and no one thing that he will commit mistake and even if he commit mistake, then he will not do it intentionally. People must at least trust and respect his 23 years of experience as referee.
