Whether the player, Chris Poter, will accept the bid or stay in the current club, Motherwell depends on his decision only. Cardiff City is offering a bid of £400,000 for Chris Poter and also Motherwell also accepts this amount for the player but they want to leave the decision of the transfer on the player himself. Motherwell said that it is the right time to sell players because they would come across situations when they are forced to sell players when there is no budget.

Chris Poter is the top scorer of the club and this term he scored nine scores. And on an average he scored one goal for every two matches. He has linked with the Scottish Premier League club, Hearts, and also he received bid of £200,000 from Huddersfield but he made up the mind to turn down the bid. Now let’s see what the player do for such a big offer.

Mark McGhee:

“We have received a bid from Cardiff for Chris and it is now up to the lad to decide if he wants to go. It would benefit clubs like ourselves if we could make a transfer at any time. Sometimes there is a cost that you have not budgeted for and you don’t have the money. We are in the situation where we are saying, ‘We might have to sell now, just in case it happens. That’s a pressure we could do without and I would prefer if we could make these decisions when we need to make them.”
