Mansfield Town had a great start in the League with a win and a draw in the first two matches of the League. But the team met an unfortunate point deduction due to guilty of fielding in the opening two games of the season.
On Monday Stags representatives called an official conference to discuss about the matter and it has been decided to deduct four points from the team because of the guilty they made during the two matches.
But Mansfield Town didn’t run from their guilty and they attended the hearing for full and fair and also assured that they would not appeal in the decision. Aaron O’connor who is the striker of Mansfield Town was the man who is under investigation whether he played for stags in the first two matches of the season.
The spokesman of the team apologizes to the fans and supporters of the team about their unfortunate incidence saying that:
“The club share the disappointment with our fans and are determined this should galvanise us all. There are 90-plus points available, there is time to win them this season and our resolve to do so has been strengthened.”
