The Indian cricket coach has taken his retirement from the profession of coach and resigned from
being Indian coach. This may be one of the consequences in the asian cricket history after the death of Bob woolmer. The incident was just like a threat to all non-asian cricket officials in Asia. After 22 months of service as Indian Cricket coach,Greg Chappell emailed his resignation letter to BCCI president Sharad Pawar stating that it is due to his family and personal reasons. In the letter Chappell wrote about the players as “I am grateful to the players with whom I have worked for the challenges that they presented me with and which I tried to meet in a professional, methodical and interesting way in the interests of the team and the individual.”
The contract of Chappell for Indian Coach was upto the end of the world Cup,after that it was being guessed that he might extend the date for further. But his resignation letter came just two days before BCCI’s working committee meeting.Chappell quoted about the support team as “I would like to make special mention about my support team without whom I would not have survived the rigours of the past 22 months.”
To the people of India who cannot breathe without the game Cricket as “The people of India deserve a special mention as they are the ones whose attention, enthusiasm and love and support drive the great game, and business,of cricket in this country, and around the world.”And he added “I thank them all especially those who have written to me and thousands who have gone out of their way to come up to me with well wishes.”
